Concept FS2004

The conventional as well as many addon autopilots have several shortcomings.

Many planes (inbuild or addon) either do not have autopilots or come with their own autopilot / EFIS cockpit implementation and displays. Usually, they are not time acceleration safe, difficult to operate via FMC, and not precise enough to handle autolanding. Helicopter's usually do not have any autopilots available.

The concept of FSPilot is to define a universal autopilot engine that should be capable to operate all standard FS2004 planes and helicopters. Get used to this one and fly them all. Autopilot panel and EFIS (navigation) should be available in freefloating cockpit independet windows to enable spectactular external visions (landing, takeoff) without cockpit view switching.
Navigation should be easier than before, preferably one mouse-click to screen, and enable automatic cockpit frequency setting. Flightplans in FSPilot should not only provide the following of predefined waypoints but also support basic aircraft operations such as operation of flaps, gear, lights, retro thrust, ground taxi and much more.

If you look for pure realism, FSPilot is not the right tool for you. Go through the handbooks and fiddle around with the FMC of your newest addon. If you like to - takeoff, switch on FSPilot and immedeately fly, navigate and - have fun. If you want, FSPilot can fly you around the globe with only one or two mouseclicks, and provide - a new way of flying ...
