The EFIS panel

FSP's EFIS panel. Select 'EFIS' or AP and EFIS' from FSP menu to open this window.

FS2004 users:
The EFIS can be opened by selecting 'EFIS' or AP and EFIS' from FSP menu. It will be displayed as a child window, uppermost on the FS2004 main window at all times. The EFIS is available in external views. You can 'hide' the window in between. You can define the screen position of the AP Panel and the EFIS in the 'options' section of FSP menu.

FSX users:
The EFIS window is opend automatically when you start FSXPilot. Initially, without FSX running, it is black. After starting a flight or situation it will become crowded with NAV targets :-)

The EFIS is primarily used for navigation and display of user information. There are currently two buttons:

Mode button
Left-click left or right next to the button to toggle through the available modes.

Range button
Left-click left or right next to the button to toggle through the available ranges (NAV mode only). The current range is shown at the left upper corner of the EFIS.

Available EFIS modes:

Nav Mode
The aircraft position (red triangle) is displayed together with available NAV targets.
NAV targets are in different colors.
Airports are given with full names, from a certain range with ICAO names.
VOR = blue
NDB = green
ILS-T = grey
FIX = white
On the NAV (define departure and destination airport first) you find 'miles to destination', 'miles from departure', and approximate 'time to reach destination', taking into account any time acceleration.

Left-Click onto a target to select it. There will be a yellow circle around the target. You may select up to three follow up targets by right-click (green circles). Press NAV to fly to the targets.
